Gosto de percorrer o meu blogroll no google reader e deixar-me levar por tantas fontes de inspiração! Gosto de partilhar algumas delas convosco, porque, às vezes, quando nos sentimos perdidos e sem auto-confiança, inspirarmo-nos em outros pode dar-nos uma nova perspectiva quanto ao caminho a seguir...

Levantar-me a meio de uma manhã de fim-de-semana, vestir-me sem a pressa de horários para cumprir, sair de casa, passear pelas ruas da cidade, a pé... Cedofeita, Miguel Bombarda. Cruzar-me com gente, sentir que a cidade está viva, imaginar que poderia ser este o ritual de todos os dias...
Deparar-me com a Rota do Chá, entrar. Entrever a deliciosa loja de chás junto à entrada, percorrer com calma o corredor, a sala indiana e o agradável pátio coberto até chegar ao jardim - onde se perde a noção do tempo e a certeza de estar no meio da cidade.
As cores fortes, os ambientes intimistas e a pacatez do jardim caracterizam este espaço tão convidativo em pleno quarteirão artístico, na Rua Miguel Bombarda, no Porto. Mas é verdade, a especialidade são os chás - de todas as cores, sabores, cheiros e proveniências - e a juntar a uma chávena de chá não podem faltar os deliciosos scones, ou, para quem preferir, uma fatia de bolo caseiro. Se já houver apetite para isso, porque não almoçar?
Já de tarde, à saída, não resisto a entrar na nova Cocktail Molotov, agora do outro lado da rua. Quem entra numa loja, entra em duas ou três... e calmamente, enquanto regresso, vou visitando as que se seguem.
Para quem ainda não sabe, o Artes em Partes mudou de instalações no final do ano passado: saiu deste edifício fantástico em Miguel Bombarda, para se alojar na Rua do Rosário.
Aqui restou a Rota do Chá, que manteve o espaço de restaurante/bar/esplanada e substituiu a antiga loja de discos junto à entrada pela nova loja dedicada ao universo do chá. E ainda bem que parte da alma do edifício ficou... para saborear num dia pacato de sol que se deseja que passe devagar.

Beleza + design + vidro = Laurence Brabant
Como transformar o quotidiano em obra de arte... através de pequenos pormenores, subtilezas determinantes, apontamentos de beleza e transparência.
O vidro é um material versátil e difícil de trabalhar. Estamos tão habituados a vê-lo nos objectos e usos mais banais que nem sempre lhe damos valor... a menos que um dos copos do serviço caia ao chão.
Enquanto matéria-prima é capaz de criar objectos úteis, mas também únicos na sua capacidade decorativa. Laurence Brabant, designer francesa, consegue aliar utilidade e beleza em criações que surpreendem o espírito mais céptico.
Vaso ou galheteiro? Copo ou jarra? Frágil ou afirmativo? Simplicidade ou sofisticação? Para usar ou admirar?... E porque não os dois?

Frida, the cat (IV)

Frida, the cat é uma série de desenhos que realizei da minha querida Friducha - a gatinha orfã abandonada que adoptei há quase 2 anos. Nasceu da minha vontade de pegar de novo na versátil Artpen da Rotring e desenhar. A Frida serviu de modelo a experiências a preto e branco e a cor, com grafite, pastel e caneta de aparo.
O desenho que aqui veem foi enviado para a Alemanha esta semana! Alguém visitou a minha recentemente inaugurada loja de arte no DaWanda e apaixonou-se pela bichana... muito obrigada Anahí!

Não gosto particularmente de corações, oferecer flores (embora as admire) acaba sempre por parecer-me um desperdício, não sou uma romântica incorrigível e acho que o Dia dos Namorados pode ser celebrado em qualquer jantar íntimo que apeteça fazer a dois, com ou sem velas, num restaurante ou em casa, simples ou requintado - mas onde só os dois, para os dois, existam.
Ainda assim, é impossível fazer de conta que este dia não existe e é celebrado no próximo dia 14 por todo o mundo... e, enfim, por piroso que seja, todos os pretextos são bons para celebrar o amor.
Este é o meu {flickr favorites} dedicado a S. Valentim e a todos os casais que se amam.
O título é inspirado por um dos melhores álbuns e melhores canções de sempre, pelo inigualável Nick Cave.

O preto continua a ser uma das minha cores preferidas. Quando tinha 15 anos passei por uma fase em que esta cor preenchia grande parte da minha indumentária... com o tempo fui evoluindo para outras combinações cromáticas, mas ainda assim mantenho muitas peças em que o preto é a cor fundamental - na dúvida, combina com tudo.
Já não me lembro da última vez em que me vesti toda de preto (a menos que se tratasse de um vestido, claro), mas às vezes sinto saudades... continuo a achar que é um look incrivelmente sexy e cheio de estilo.

O Galo Pop Minimal é um projecto desenvolvido por Águas Furtadas - Portuguese Design Space, que reinventa um ícone tradicional português - o Galo de Barcelos. Um conceito fresco e inovador, simples e irreverente, que repõe nas casas modernas um símbolo de Portugal tradicional.
Pretende-se desta forma uma simplificação visual do mesmo, oferecendo-lhe uma "nova roupagem" de uma cor só, tornando esta peça mais contemporânea e por isso mais apta para habitar os espaços de hoje. O presente projecto inspira-se neste objecto tradicional português que habita o nosso imaginário desde a infância remetendo-o para uma linguagem Pop de Andy Warhol, sendo que o resultado final não tem como objectivo uma ruptura com o tradicional, mas sim uma evolução do mesmo. Tendo por base estes conceitos, a produção dos Galos é desenvolvida com os mesmos processos artesanais por uma família de gerações de artesãos onde muitas das cores utilizadas são inspiradas nas pinturas tradicionais.

This is a form of visual simplification of it, offering him a monochromatic "new look", making this piece more contemporary and therefore more able to inhabit the spaces of today. This project is inspired by this traditional Portuguese object that inhabits our imagination since childhood referring it to an Andy Warhol Pop language, so the end result is not intended to be a break from the traditional, but rather an evolution of it. Based on these concepts, the production of the Roosters is developed by the same handcrafted processes by a family of generations of artisans and many of the colors used are inspired by the traditional paintings.

Águas Furtadas also regularly invites artists to customize these Roosters, giving origin to unique works of art.

1. Fall in Love, 2. snowplosion,
Às vezes só nos apercebemos da falta que determinada coisa nos faz quando não a temos. Outras vezes, é o facto de não termos algo que consideramos adquirido que nos faz olhar para outras coisas com outros olhos... enfim, depende das coisas e de quem as observa, claro.
Ontem faltou a luz lá em casa. Primeiro a decepção por não poder fazer o jantar planeado, não poder ver televisão... depois, uma agradável refeição improvisada e um bom pretexto para ler um livro à luz da lanterna. Há muito que não parava assim para ler... às vezes corremos demasiado, como se tivessemos que justificar todo o nosso tempo livre com tarefas úteis. Outras vezes, é preciso estarmos às escuras para fazer-se luz...

Yesterday the lights went off at home. First the disappointment: not being able to make dinner as planned, not being able to watch TV... then an improvised nice meal and a good excuse to read a book underneath the lantern's light. I didn't stop to read like this at a very long time... Sometimes we run too much, like if we had to justify all our spare time with useful tasks. Other times, one must be in the dark to see the light...

Às vezes sabe bem escolher só cores suaves e claras, tecidos soltos e confortáveis, onde não pode faltar um toque feminino. Ultimamente, quando não visto saia, uso quase sempre calças de ganga, mas gosto de variar nos modelos e tons... as calças justas ficam bem com peças soltas e descontraidas, em que apetece adivinhar as formas que escondem.

Lately, when I don't wear skirt, I almost always wear jeans, but I like to vary the model and the tone... the tight ones look good with loose and relaxed clothing, the ones that feel like guessing the shapes that they hide.
These shoes allow me to dream a little, because I could never walk in these heels! But I admit that this peep toe boots and shoes fashion for winter attracts me a lot... how about you?
