Quando penso em férias nem sempre é fácil decidir se procuro descanso ou cultura, se desejo praia ou percursos urbanos... na verdade o que queria era ter tempo (e dinheiro!) para ter um pouco de cada um dos dois mundos!
Geralmente, podendo escolher, prefiro perder-me numa nova cidade, conhecer uma nova cultura, ter tempo para experimentar a gastronomia local, descobrir museus, monumentos, sítios com história e arte... não viajei muito até agora, mas a lista de cidades que desejo ainda visitar é imensa!
Conheço razoavelmente bem o meu país, percorri Espanha de norte a sul, apaixonei-me por Paris, perdi-me entre Roma e Florença e passeei em Londres... mas... o descanso entre a natureza, dividida entre o sol e o mar também é um dos melhores cenários possíveis, sobretudo quando falamos de férias de Verão! Por isso, este ano optamos por Tenerife, porque cada vez mais preciso de tempo para estar de férias... com calma... (e só faltam 2 semanas!)

When I think of vacation isn't always easy to decide whether to seek rest or culture, if I wish beach or urban routes... actually I'd love to have time (and money!) to have a bit of each of the two worlds!
Generally, if I can choose, I prefer to lose myself in a new city, learning a new culture, taking time to taste the local cuisine, to discover museums, monuments, sites with history and art... I haven't traveled much, but the list of cities that I still wish to visit is immense! I know fairly well my own country, I traveled north to south in Spain, I fell in love with Paris, I got lost between Rome and Florence and took a walk in London... but... resting among nature, divided between the sun and the sea is also one of the best possible scenarios, especially when it comes to summer vacation! So this year we decided to go to Tenerife, because I increasingly need time to be on vacation... calmly... (and only missing two weeks to go!)

Que engraçado, conhecemos praticamente os mesmos países e cidades :) Só não fui a Roma ainda, andei mais a Norte. Também prefiro conhecer cidades novas, são as minhas férias favoritas mas é como tu dizes, às vezes preciso mesmo é de descansar! Boas férias!
ReplyDeleteI love Spain! I love it! And I've been to Tenerife a few times to visit a friend. I think destinations are more special when you have friends living there. I used to travel a lot and always wanted to be 'en route' and 'busy visiting lots of places'. Now I can enjoy the peace and quiet of a nice campsite and doing nothing - perhaps it has to do with age, Ana. :)

Enjoy Tenerife, it's a beautiful place - especially up north - very surprisingly green and lush. Happy holidays! Your mosaics are always a delight! :)

ReplyDeleteI wish I traveled in my country more, I really like your Portugal photos. The Alentejo set was my favorite, I love architecture modern and traditional. Have a great holiday in Tenerife!
