Amanhã de madrugada partimos para Madrid... la movida espera-nos!
Esperam-nos também alguns dos melhores Museus do mundo, algumas das mais conhecidas obras de arquitectura moderna, algumas das praças mais carismáticas, alguns dos parques citadinos mais belos e... um concerto de Arcade Fire!
Estou mesmo a precisar de férias... mas algo me diz que não vou descansar muito! Embora já tenha estado em Madrid 2 vezes, uma de fugida e outra por uma semana durante uma memorável visita de estudo há 12 anos atrás, desta vez irei certamente ver coisas novas e rever outras - mas agora com outros olhos. O concerto foi o pretexto, mas a visita à cidade é para mim um merecido extra - as cidades, sejam as grandes capitais ou as pitorescas vilas mais pequenas, continuam a ser e serão sempre as minhas viagens de eleição.
Na terça-feira estarei de volta à realidade... até lá!

We are also expected by some of the best museums in the world, some of the best known works of modern architecture, some of the most charismatic squares, some of the most beautiful city parks and... a concert by Arcade Fire!
I really need a vacation... but something tells me I won't rest that much! Although I have been in Madrid two times, once very quickly and another during a memorable week for a study visit at about 12 years now, this time I will certainly see new things and review other - but now with different eyes. The concert was the pretext, but a visit to the city is to me a much needed extra - the cities, either the big ones or the picturesque smaller towns, are still and always will be my trip of choice.
On Tuesday I'll be back to reality... see you soon!
