Para o {inspiration board} de hoje partilho algumas ilustrações que me têm feito parar. Tenho adicionado algumas delas ao meu pinboard art inspiration e acho que são muito mais do que isso... mais do que servir de inspiração, traduzem uma forma de ver o mundo que me fascina. Ver através dos olhos do artista não é fácil - é um gesto subtil, subjectivo e dúbio. Mas acho que o segredo consiste em saber que nem sempre os artistas nos transmitem uma mensagem estanque: às vezes nos seus traços e manchas pairam mensagens subliminares que nem eles compreendem nem saberiam reproduzir.
Gostar de arte não passa por compreendê-la.
Se notarem algum padrão nas imagens que partilho (sim, são todas assinadas por mulheres) talvez não seja pura coincidência.
For today's edition of {inspiration board} I share some illustrations that have made me stop recently. I've added some to my art inspiration pinboard and I think they mean much more than that... more than inspire, they reflect a way of seeing the world that fascinates me. To see through the eyes of the artist is not easy - it's a subtle, subjective and dubious gesture. But I think the secret lies in knowing that the artists don't always give us a tight message: sometimes in their traces and stains float subliminal messages that they neither understand nor would know how to reproduce.
