Já antes falei no nome de Ana Raimundo, também conhecida por fric de mentol. Na altura havia vencido um giveaway lançado pela Ana no seu blog e mostrava-me surpreendida por não costumar ter sorte nestas coisas... ok, retiro o que disse, não me queixo mais! Afinal tenho muita sorte, porque acabei de vencer o segundo giveaway: o Holiday Surprise Giveaway! Sortuda!
Bem... desta vez o presente era surpresa, mas vindo das mãos da Ana só poderia ser boa! Aguardei e foi graças à generosidade da Ana que no dia anterior à véspera de Natal recebi a tão desejada encomenda... parece que o Pai Natal chegou um pouco mais cedo este ano!

Dentro: uma linda embalagem acompanhada de um simpático bilhete... Dentro: um conjunto de 4 pins, recentemente lançados, da colecção ugly face. Fiquei maravilhada! Adoro pins e adoro os trabalhos da Ana - confesso que gostei particularmente desta série, de personagens fortes, originais e coloridas, que misturam técnicas de pintura e bordado, como neste caso.

Na sua loja Etsy é possível encontrar postais, pins, impressões, originais, diários Moleskine personalizados, almofadas e sacos... trabalhos onde a cor, a identidade portuguesa e, claro, a técnica gocco têm papel fundamental.
Quanto aos pins, a única coisa que posso dizer é que os usei imediatamente! E receberam elogios... Obrigada Ana! (mais uma vez :)

At the time I had won a giveaway hosted by Ana on her blog and was very surprised about it, since I don't usually have luck in these things... ok, I take that back, I'm not complaining more! After all I am very lucky because I just won the second giveaway: the Holiday Surprise Giveaway! Lucky me!
Well... this time the gift was a surprise, but coming from Ana's hands it could only be a good surprise! Then I waited and thanks to Ana's generosity I received the desired package the day before Christmas Eve... seems that Santa Claus came a little early this year!
I could not resist and opened it right away...
Inside: a beautiful package together with a lovely note... Inside: a set of 4 pins, recently launched, of the ugly face collection. I was amazed! I love pins and I love Ana's work - and I confess that I particularly loved this series of strong, unique and colorful characters, created using mixed techniques of painting and embroidery, like this one.
Rather than creating funny and original compositions and characters, Ana stands out for its constant innovation capacity and for the way she endows her work with personality - impossible not to identify it as a creation by fric de mentol.
In her Etsy shop you can find postcards, pins, prints, originals, custom Moleskine journals, pillows and bags... all works where the color, the Portuguese identity and, of course, the gocco technique play a fundamental role.
As for the pins, the only thing I can add is that I placed them on my sweater immediately! And received compliments about it... Thanks so much Ana! (again :)
