As férias de Verão deste ano estavam pensadas para proporcionar descanso à beira-mar e Setúbal foi a base escolhida para passear pela zona do Parque Natural da Arrábida e descobrir uma série de praias de águas paradisíacas - ainda assim um pouco frias, mas maravilhosas!

Na viagem rumo ao sul paramos para visitar o Cabo Espichel, onde os corpos das hospedarias impõem mais respeito do que a própria igreja, numa repetição ritmada de fachadas humildes, mas eficazes na contenção e direccionamento do olhar.

Na cidade, Setúbal concentra grande parte da sua animação ao longo da Avenida Luísa Todi, onde vale a pena provar o famoso choco frito e visitar o Mercado, tomar um moscatel na Casa da Baía e, bem perto, visitar a Casa da Cultura.

Imperdível também, a subida ao Forte de São Filipe e, claro, o passeio pela estrada que corta a Serra da Arrábida, com vistas fantásticas para as praias que se adivinham tão apetitosas lá em baixo.

Summer holidays of this year were designed to provide rest by the sea and Setúbal was the chosen base to stroll through around Nature Park of Arrábida and discover a series of beaches of paradisiacal waters - still a little cold, but wonderful!

On our way south, we stopped to visit Cape Espichel, where the buildings of the inns impose more respect than the church itself, in a rhythmic repetition of humble facades, but effective in restraining and directing the gaze.

In the city, Setúbal concentrates much of its activity along Avenida Luísa Todi, where it's worth to taste the famous fried cuttlefish and visit the Market, taste a Moscatel wine at Casa da Baía and, very near, visit Casa da Cultura.

Also a must to climb to the Fort of São Filipe and, of course, to drive along the road that cuts Serra da Arrábida, with fantastic views to the amazing beaches below.
