O Etsy prepara-se para apresentar a primeira pop-up shop no Reino Unido neste Natal e eu tenho o prazer de ver algumas das minhas peças seleccionadas para estarem presentes!

A partir de amanhã e até Domingo, Londres irá receber o Etsy House, um evento onde estarão expostos e à venda alguns dos melhores trabalhos de criadores europeus que têm loja online na plataforma Etsy. 

O feito à mão com qualidade será o mote para um evento que pretende oferecer aos visitantes ideias para presentes de Natal bem especiais, a par de workshops e sessões de live crafting.

É com pena que também eu não irei até Londres (visitar o evento e não só!), mas é com muito gosto que terei as pulseiras Orbital a representarem a joalharia Ana Pina neste Etsy House. Se tiverem oportunidade visitem! Toda a informação aqui e aqui.

Etsy is getting ready to present the first pop-up shop in the UK this Christmas and I have the pleasure of seeing some of my jewelry selected to be there!

From tomorrow until Sunday, London will host Etsy House, an event where will be exhibited for sale some of the best works of European artists who have an online shop on Etsy.

The quality of handmade will be the theme for an event that aims to offer visitors ideas for very special Christmas gifts, along with workshops and live crafting sessions.

I'm sorry I won't be at London too (to visit the event and more!), but I'm pleased to announce that I'll have the Orbital bracelets representing Ana Pina's jewelry in this Etsy House. If you have the chance to visit don't miss it! Find all the information here and here.

shop update! celebrating Euro Week!

Lá fora já cheira a Primavera... está sol e calor, a luz que reflecte na relva transmite uma enorme vontade de passear ao ar livre! O tempo ainda não está estável, mas para lá caminha... ainda que entretanto apareçam nuvens, que chova ou faça mais frio, é para o Verão que caminhamos e é já nele que pensamos!

As últimas peças que criei trazem mais cor e vida a estes dias luminosos. Entre combinações de harmonia cromática ou de contraste, é possível até descobrir o arco-íris! Apresento-vos a Patty, a Juno, a Angelina e a Rainbow. Algumas peças já estão na loja, mas podem ver todas aqui.

Outside now smells like spring... it's a sunny day and the light that reflects on the grass gives a strong desire to walk outdoors! The weather is not stable yet, but it will be... they may still appear clouds, rain or colder days, but we're approaching summer and we already dream about it!

Secret Santa

Já falei antes no Secret Santa - uma troca de presentes entre membros da European Street Team, em que o Pai Natal secreto de alguém irá por sua vez receber um presente de outro Pai Natal secreto... e o meu já chegou!

Começou por ser um embrulho misterioso vindo da Grécia...

... para se revelar um conjunto de belas surpresas!
Entre elas: um conjunto de contas nas minhas duas cores preferidas (vermelho e preto) que me irão inspirar em futuras criações, um amuleto tradicional grego, duas pedras de lava recolhidas na ilha de Milos, dois cartões de visita com belas fotos e... um misterioso embrulho colorido!

Este revelou-se o maior presente: um par de brincos feitos à mão em prata escurecida, numa original forma de coração pendurado que, confesso, me ficam muito bem!

O meu generoso e criativo Pai Natal foi Nafsika, que me estragou com mimos! Ela mora na Grécia, um país de sol e de cor, tal como eu adora gatos, e para além de criar joalharia original, tira belíssimas fotos, como podem ver aqui. I have written before about Secret Santa - a gift exchange between members of the European Street Team, in which someone's Secret Santa will receive a surprise gift of another Secret Santa... and well, mine has arrived!

It began as a mysterious package from Greece...

... and it revealed to be a set of wonderful surprises!
Among them: a set of beads in my favorite colors (red and black) that will inspire me in future creations, a traditional Greek lucky charm, two lava pebbles collected on Milos island, two business cards with beautiful photos and... a mysterious colorful package!

The greatest gift of all: a pair of handmade heart-shaped earrings, made in sterling silver turned black with patina - and, I must say, they look great on me!

My generous and creative Secret Santa was Nafsika, who really spoiled me! She lives in Greece, a country of sunshine and color, and she also loves cats... Besides creating original jewelry, she takes beautiful photos, as you can see here. Visit her blog and shop to find out more about her work.

Vamos festejar!

Secret Santa wants to know...

Secret Santa é um jogo em que todos os elementos da European Street Team no Etsy podem participar. Depois de ter participado no Secret Easter Bunny (por altura da Páscoa) e de ter recebido um fantástico presente da Andee (podem ver o presente que eu enviei a Antigoni aqui), não quis deixar de participar novamente!

O jogo consiste no seguinte: cada um dos participantes responde a um questionário (sobre hábitos, gostos e características pessoais), que depois será entregue a outro membro da equipa, que por sua vez terá que criar um presente de Natal para lhe oferecer... o jogo é secreto, por isso ninguém sabe quem será o seu Pai Natal mistério! Cada artista envia um presente e recebe um... que se revela sempre uma boa surpresa. Eu já fiz o presente que irei enviar, mas para já é segredo...

O jogo é organizado pela Mitsy, a criadora de Artmind, que tem feito um excelente trabalho e que semanalmente nos presenteia com revelações acerca dos membros da equipa, através de divertidos posts.
Nesta semana ela lançou o convite para que cada um de nós partilhasse uma imagem que ilustrasse uma das respostas ao questionário: o que te faz sorrir?
Haverá algo mais doce do que um pequeno gatinho?... Eu não consigo resistir-lhes! Por isso partilho um mosaico que reflecte a evolução da minha pestinha: a Frida Kahlo, que mesmo depois de fazer uma asneira consegue roubar-me um sorriso quando me olha com aquela expressão entre o meigo e o matreiro... Secret Santa is a game in which all the elements of the European Street Team on Etsy can participate. After having participated in the Secret Easter Bunny (around Easter) and received a fantastic gift from Andee (take a look at the gift I sent Antigoni here), I just had to join again!

The game is as follows: each participant answers a questionnaire (about habits, tastes and personal characteristics), which will then be handed to another team member, which in turn will have to create a Christmas present to offer him or hers... the game is secret, so nobody knows who will be their Secret Santa until the gift is received! Each artist sends a gift and receives one... and that always proves to be a good surprise. I've already created the gift I'll send, but it's a secret for now...

The game is organized by Mitsy, the artist behind ArtMind, who has been doing an excellent work and every week presents us with revelations about the team members through funny posts.
This week she launched an invitation - each of us could share a picture that illustrates one of the questionnaire's answers: what makes you smile?
Is there anything sweeter than a little kitten?... I can't resist them! So I decided to share a mosaic that reflects the evolution of my little furry brat: Frida Kahlo, that even after making a blunder can steal me a smile when starring at me with that look between tender and tricky... Hoje sinto-me azul... e talvez esmagada (como o belo Mini feeling criado por Artmind)... pelo peso de Segunda-Feira e do início de uma nova semana. Mas estou também apaixonada por alguns dos mais belos trabalhos em cerâmica da autoria de artistas europeus presentes no Etsy.
Não tenho grande aptidão para este tipo de trabalho artístico, mas admiro-o, especialmente quando se destaca pela originalidade da textura, das cores, da forma ou das suas aplicações.

Today I feel blue... and maybe crushed (like the beautiful Mini feeling by Artmind)... by the weight of Monday and the beginning of a new week. But I'm also in love with the great ceramic works by European artists in Etsy.
I don't have a lot of ability to this kind of artistic work, but I do admire it, especially when it is original in the texture, the colors, the form or even its applications.
