That day of the year is here again... I place one more candle on the cake and add another number to the age! We talk about another year, but it's just another day that's passed - we just should make this one a little more special than the others.
This blog has already seen several years go by... 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37... and now 38.
This year I will leave you with a list of 38 albums that for one reason or another were important to me or I keep on listening regularly - it's in alphabetical order, so I don't have to choose preferences.
I'm constantly listening to music, so the choice wasn't easy! It's certainly missing some unforgivable names, some are more recent and maybe I'll stop listening in years, others are best of or live albums, because I wasn't able in any way to reduce the band to an album only... but anyway, they are all part of my soundtrack. Listen again if you like them and discover those you don't know yet - hope you like it!

1. I Am A Bird Now, Antony and the Johnsons

This time my birthday was celebrated in a different way!
June 17th coincided with the Open Day at Tincal lab, so this day ended up being a 2 in 1, between the passage of my 37 years and the celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the atelier, that opened around this date on 2015. Remember?

It was a hot day, filled with flowers, cake, toasts, surprises and visits from friends.
I may have been at my place of work, but it was definitely a party day!

And if you couldn't come to toast with us you can now visit the collective exhibition Branco | White on weekdays, between 10am and 7pm. We're at Rua de Cedofeita, 27, 2nd floor front, in Porto. See you!

Parabéns... a mim!

EN
Inspired by Sara, I bought this kind of special diary. Now, the time to write daily is little, but the will to save in the memory moments that are worth remembering remains.
Perhaps over the years we tend to find that time passes by more quickly. The urgency of the arrival of a special date is replaced by the patience to wait for a moment that we know will pass too quickly, so we have to learn to appreciate both the planning of the party as the fireworks that celebrates its end.

With this ritual of one line a day - one line each day, over the next five years - there are no excuses not to record the moment, from the great celebrations to the most insignificant happening... and it will be fun to see what will change over the next 5 years and the state of mind that will register the same date in different years.

The idea would have been to start the project on the first day of the year, but as I discovered it later and not wanting to wait for 2014, I chose this day, my birthday, to write the first line - after all this is a day as special as any other... but for me, it's a little more. Happy birthday... to me!

Porto | MNSR (03)

1. a minha cor preferida é o vermelho.
3. a minha comida preferida é a italiana.
4. adorava saber fazer sushie.

If until now I lived upon the barrier of the thirties, I've now definitely passed to the other side! The number doesn't weigh yet, but I'm at that stage when I get happy when someone thinks I'm younger... if you know what I mean!
I want to thank all of you who have remembered me on this day - this is a special day, not just because I'm adding one more candle to my birthday cake, but especially thanks to you all!

To celebrate the date with you, I thought about sharing 31 things about me. They don't follow any particular order, they're not really secrets or wishes... they're simple things, small confessions or characteristics that most of you don't know about me, so I thought that this could be a way to share a little of myself with those who follow this blog on my birthday!

1. my favorite color is red.
2. I never particularly liked the painting of Frida Kahlo, until I watched the movie and became absolutely fascinated by her story and her way of expressing it.
3. my favorite food is Italian.
4. I'd love to know how to make sushie. I like even more to eat it.
5. I'm fascinated by vampires. And even if I feel like going back to the mentality of a 14 year old girl, I can't resist watching Twilight saga movies (shame!!).
6. at age 13 I was a fan of Bon Jovi (shame...).
7. at 15 I dressed in black, wearing Doc Martens and listening to Moonspell.
8. I still hear Moonspell sometimes... the last time I saw them live was last year.
9. I love to sing (in private!) and so maybe that's why I'm a little obsessed with knowing the lyrics of songs I like.
10. I wore orthopedic boots and braces when I was little.
11. My first pet was a cat named Dino.
12. I'm not able to overestimate death, because deep down I think we'll go to a better place - we're afraid of what, anyway?
13. I don't believe in God.
14. Saramago is the author I read more: 11 novels so far. I have the rest at home, waiting to be read.
15. I wear sandals during all summer, from the moment I take the winter socks off I hardly go back to use them until the chill of autumn arrives.
16. I don't feel comfortable in high heels.
17. I rarely leave home without makeup.
18. I dream about living for a year in Paris.
19. I'd love to travel by car from north to south of Italy, with time...
20. I love to cook but I'm better at savory than sweets.
21. I don't particularly like chocolate bars, but I'm addicted to almost everything that has chocolate, like biscuits, cakes, ice cream...
22. I like drinking coffee, but I hate anything like cakes and such with coffee flavor.
23. I cry easily.
24. the most expensive piece of clothing I ever bought was a jacket.
25. I've never seen Star Wars.
26. I never enjoyed walking, but now I walk about 45 minutes a day on foot, while I come from and go to my morning jewelry classes.
27. I met my best friend (female) when I was 12.
28. my best friend (male) was once my boyfriend.
29. I still think that yoga is the most complete physical practice and the one that fills me most, both physically and mentally.
30. I don't usually drink at meals and the few times I do it I rather drink wine.
31. I don't like champagne... but today I'll make an exception!

Have a nice weekend and thank you for being here!

parabéns!
