17 de Junho coincidiu com a data de Open Day no Tincal lab, por isso este dia acabou por ser um 2 em 1, entre a passagem dos meus 37 anos e a celebração do segundo aniversário do atelier, que abriu mais ou menos por esta altura em 2015. Lembram-se?

Foi um dia de muito calor, flores, bolo, brindes, surpresas e visitas de amigos.

Posso ter estado no meu local de trabalho, mas foi sem dúvida um dia de festa!

This time my birthday was celebrated in a different way!

June 17th coincided with the Open Day at Tincal lab, so this day ended up being a 2 in 1, between the passage of my 37 years and the celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the atelier, that opened around this date on 2015. Remember?

It was a hot day, filled with flowers, cake, toasts, surprises and visits from friends.

I may have been at my place of work, but it was definitely a party day!

Next Saturday is Open Day at Tincal lab!

Once a month the atelier opens its doors also on Saturday, to receive clients and friends in an informal event, with special discounts in the resident brand Ana Pina. This is also an opportunity to get to know the work of a different guest in each event, that will be available for sale over the following month at Tincal lab.

The guest of this month is TelmaDA, a brand that was born out of a concept that tries to ally the principles of architecture with contemporary design, seeking the use of industrial materials in the production of pieces as delicate as those of jewelry. Inspired in architecture, in all its asymmetries and shapes, there's an effort to implement different building's soul and complexity into every single piece of jewelry.

Living between Bolzano (Italy) and Porto (Portugal), Susana Teixeira presents a work that reflects the geographic diversity that surrounds her. On one hand the hostility of the alpine scenery of the city she adopted, on the other the immensity of the sea that bathes her hometown.

Exploring the concepts of proportion, asymmetry, cut and limit inherent to her training in mathematics, her jewelry includes abstract pieces and others in which prevails the detail, such as filigree.

Estão todos convidados a ver peças de Ana Pina e da convidada Joana Santos ao vivo. Em dia de inaugurações simultâneas em Miguel Bombarda não há desculpas para não dar um passeio pelo Quarteirão das Artes, o atelier fica bem pertinho.

Sobre a convidada:

Joana Santos nasce em Maio de 1986 na cidade do Porto, Portugal.
Enquanto arquitecta, sentia a falta do trabalho manual, mais intimista e do desafio sem limites no que toca à criação.
Olhou sempre para a joalharia com grande curiosidade e admiração e foi então em 2013 que iniciou a sua jornada de descoberta e aprendizagem.
Não deixando de transportar todo o conhecimento e experiencia para as suas criações, estas revelam uma forte influência da geometria, através do uso de linhas rectas, o jogo de planos e de volumetrias simples.

About the guest:
Joana Santos was born in 1986 in the city of Porto, Portugal.
Being an architect, she was missing the manual work that is more intimate and she was looking forward to a more challenging creation.
Curious about jewelry from a long time, it was in 2013 that she finally begun the learning and discovery path.
Joana’s work reveals the knowledge and experience from the past with the influence of geometry, by the use of straight lines, plans and simple volumes.
