Obrigada a todos os que encheram o Tincal lab para visitar a fantástica exposição colectiva Joalharia e Música, foi um dia em cheio, com direito a música ao vivo e tudo!

Estão em exposição e disponíveis para venda quase 100 peças de 39 autores de 18 países diferentes - todas com o preço máximo de 100€! Com o Natal à porta, esta é uma oportunidade única de comprar ou oferecer uma peça exclusiva de joalharia contemporânea por um preço bastante acessível.

Se não puderam vir na inauguração podem ainda visitar a exposição até ao final do ano: apareçam durante a semana, entre as 10h e as 19h e fiquem atentos à data a anunciar para o habitual Open Day de Dezembro, a pensar em quem está mais disponível ao fim-de-semana.

O atelier fica na Rua de Cedofeita, 27, 2º frente, muito perto da Praça Carlos Alberto, no Porto.

And the opening last Saturday was like this!

Thank you to all who visited Tincal lab to admire the amazing collective exhibition Jewelry and Music, it was a great day, entitled to live music!

There are on display and available for sale almost 100 pieces from 39 artists from 18 different countries - all for the maximum price of 100€! With Christmas on the doorstep, this is a unique opportunity to buy or offer an exclusive piece of contemporary jewelry for a very affordable price.

If you couldn't make it to the opening, you can still visit the exhibition until the end of the year: drop by the atelier over weekdays, between 10am and 7pm and stay tuned for the date of the usual Open Day of December, thinking about who is available only on the weekend.

The atelier is located at Rua de Cedofeita, 27, 2º floor front, very close to Praça Carlos Alberto, in Porto.

Quase 40 autores de cerca de 18 países foram seleccionados e o resultado poderá ser visto na fantástica exposição colectiva que inaugura no Tincal lab a 11 de Novembro!

With the main objective to show the quality and diversity of contemporary jewelry, Tincal lab invited jewelers from around the world for a challenge: the creation of up to 3 pieces with a maximum price of 100€, inspired by the theme Jewelry and Music.

Almost 40 authors from about 18 countries were selected and the result can be seen in this amazing collective exhibition that opens at Tincal lab on 11th of November!

As a participant and curator of this unique event, I invite you to visit Tincal lab next Saturday between 3pm and 8pm, at Rua de Cedofeita, 27, 2nd floor front, in Porto.

Foi a terceira vez que vi Jay-Jay Johanson ao vivo, desta vez na belíssima sala do Theatro Circo, em jeito de celebração dos 20 anos do primeiro álbum Whiskey. Foi um fantástico concerto! com direito a momentos mais animados e mais comoventes, a recordações e novas músicas - com direito até a um olá e autógrafo no final, obrigada Jay-Jay!

Assim, a playlist de hoje é diferente do habitual, com 20 músicas dedicadas ao sueco de sorriso doce, relembrando algumas das favoritas de cada um dos 11 álbuns desde aquele primeiro que me deixou intrigada com aquela espécie de sonoridade meia electrónica de inspiração vintage, que tanto tem mudado e evoluído desde então. It was the third time I saw Jay-Jay Johanson live, this time in the beautiful Theatro Circo, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first Whiskey album. It was a fantastic concert! entitled to more lively and moving moments, to memories and new songs - entitled even to a hello and autograph in the end, thank you Jay-Jay!

So today's playlist is different from the usual, with 20 songs dedicated to the Swedish of the sweet smile, recollecting some favorites from each of the 11 albums since the first one that puzzled me with that kind of vintage-inspired electronic sound that has changed and evolved ever since. For those who are already a fan and for those who don't know him yet, it will be the perfect company.

E terminou mais uma edição de Primavera Sound no Porto! Fui este ano pela primeira vez e fiquei com a sensação de que para para qualquer fã deste tipo de música o melhor mesmo é comprar o bilhete no início do ano e esperar ser surpreendido - pelos nomes mais conhecidos do cartaz e também pelas novidades que por lá se encontram em tantas horas de bons concertos. 

A idade já não perdoa, por isso tenho noção de que não consegui aproveitar ao máximo tudo o que o festival tem para oferecer, mas mesmo assim foi óptimo poder combinar momentos de sol de toalha sobre a relva ao som de boa música, com concertos em que a vontade de estar presente me levou até mais perto do palco. Antony & The Johnsons e Damien Rice foram os nomes que me convenceram a comprar o bilhete, mas ia também com muita vontade de ver Interpol, Belle & Sebastian, Caribou ou Jungle, por exemplo.

Embora o ruído de fundo tenha prejudicado um momento quase sagrado que exigia o silêncio total, Antony protagonizou, sem dúvida, um dos concertos mais belos do festival. E Damien Rice conseguiu, sozinho, encher o palco, numa das actuações que foi, para mim, das mais emotivas de sempre. Só por isto já teria valido a pena, mas o Primavera Sound foi muito, muito mais - provavelmente um pouco diferente para cada um dos que lá estiveram!

And it's over another edition of Primavera Sound music festival in Porto! This was my first time and I got the feeling that for any fan of this kind of music you can simply buy the ticket at the beginning of the year and expect to be surprised - by the best known names of the line up and also by the new ones that fill in so many hours of great concerts.

Age doesn't forgive, so I'm aware that I couldn't take full advantage of everything the festival has to offer, but even so it was great to combine sunny moments with my towel on the grass at the sound of good music, with concerts that took me much closer to the stage. Antony & The Johnsons and Damien Rice were the names that convinced me to buy the ticket, but I was also eager to see Interpol, Belle & Sebastian, Caribou or Jungle, for example.

Although the background noise has damaged a bit a moment that should be almost sacred and of total silence, Antony undoubtedly starred one of the most beautiful concerts of the festival. And Damien Rice managed to, alone, fill the stage in one of the most emotional performances ever for me. Just for this it would have been worth it, but Primavera Sound was much, much more - probably a little different for each of the presents!
